Tattoo Removal Laser
Welcome to Oldham Tattoo Removal, our Picosecond Technology Tattoo Removal Laser produces ultra-short pulses targeting the ink particles with pressure so great, it shatters the ink into tiny particles.
Because the Laser particles are so tiny, they are more easily absorbed and eliminated by the body.
If you have a special occasion coming up, a new job to start, or already have a cover up tattoo session booked, Picosecond Technology is the most effective and fastest way to remove your tattoo, and is even effective with those more difficult colours like blue or green. What should I expect at my Consultation?
I've had some treatment elswehere, do I still need a consultation & patch test?
Why is Laser Tattoo Removal required if I am having a cover up?
You want to be totally happy with your new cover up & ensure none of the old one shows through, so it is recommended that you get rid of as much of the old tattoo as possible.
Removing the tattoo or fading it will allow more flexibility and creativity with the new tattoo and your desired artwork.
Is tattoo removal painful?
Laser tattoo removal treatment can cause some pain and discomfort, however this can be managed by pre numbing the area or treating smaller areas rather that the whole area.
Are there any side effects?
There may be some swelling, heat and blistering between treatments. Your practitioner will advise you on your aftercare regime which includes keeping the area cool and moisterised.
Will I see instant results?
The body needs time to absorb and dissipate the ink particles, the fading process will be ongoing until about 6 weeks after treatment ends.
How many treatments will I need?
Each person and each tattoo are different and the amount of sessions will be determined by the size and colours of your tattoo.
How is a Picosecond technology laser different from a Q-Switched laser?
Picosecond Lasers are around 10 times faster than Q-Switched lasers. The pulses are so fast that the pigment smashing effect is more efficient and the heat generated in the skin is so much less.
